Salt Springs Park
Camping Rules & Regulations

No alcohol is allowed.

Dogs are allowed in the campgrounds as long as they are always on a leash, cleaned up after, and quiet. Dogs running loose in the campgrounds and dogs that bark a lot are not tolerated in this park.

Check In time is 3 pm, and Check Out time is 2 pm.

Outside visitors are permitted from 8 am to 10 pm. Quiet hours are between 10 pm and 8 am.

Fires are permitted only in camp stoves or the fire rings provided. Please be careful. All fires must be extinguished before leaving the campground.

Because of the invasive emerald ash borer, firewood from outside Susquehanna County cannot be brought into the park. Firewood can be purchased here. Cutting of standing trees and operation of saws are not permitted.

Maximum number of people per campsite is six.

Parking spots in the campground are limited. After unloading at the campground, move your car to the public parking area if there are no available spaces. This is located behind the Wheaton House. Do not park in the grass along the lane.

Please help keep the park clean and attractive. Dispose of trash in the park trash cans or take it home with you.

Hunting & Fishing

Hunting is permitted in accordance with Pennsylvania State Law in most of the park. It is not permitted in the campgrounds or in the Natural Area — this includes the picnic and parking areas, the hemlock grove, and the Fall Brook and waterfalls area. In other parts of the park, hunting is allowed.

Fishing is allowed in accordance with Pennsylvania State Law.
