Montrose is a town steeped in tradition but also welcomes new ones that reflect the changing interests of her residents. A fast-evolving tradition is to gather on Chestnut Street in May to sample the offerings of regional wineries and chocolatiers. But there's more. In true Montrose style, this event is community based. The day's many activities showcase local muscians, artisans, and businesses and have included live entertainment, a quilt raffle, cooking contests, art shows, and a chocolate factory tour. Past proceeds were donated to the local library and hospital. Come see why we're proud to live here. The third Montrose Chocolate & Wine Festival will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2010.
