2016 Highlights

2016 was such an enjoyable year, filled with good people and good times, it was hard to narrow down the photographs. But it was fun doing it!

2015 Highlights

Somebody knows us well. We found these very appropriate words to live by in the Barn Pavilion this summer.

2014 Highlights

Our biggest achievement in 2014 was to reach 20 years of stewardship at Salt Springs. We organized in December 1994 and for 20 years now have been maintaining the park and welcoming all to enjoy it.

2014 saw many other achievements, too: a new pavilion and a record number of visitors, to name just two.

Cabins and Campgrounds

We offer rustic camping in three cabins and eight tent sites. We have group rates for nonprofits. The small field at the end of the campgrounds is perfect for badminton and other sports and games.

Program Highlights

Hiking, star-gazing, gardening, picture taking . . . . we cover a diverse range of activities in our programs.

Birds, Butterflies & More

Bees, damselflies, bluebirds, and bats are just some of the winged creatures we highlight in programs. And, mark your calendar, every spring (second Saturdays in May), we participate in the North American Migration Count with a hike through the park to view and count birds. In 2014 we spotted more than 60 species.

Flooding in 2011

It was a rough summer - 500-year flooding for the fifth time in 5 years.

2012 Highlights

Year-round, volunteers pitch in to keep the park and grounds beautiful, people enjoy a wide range of programs, and visitors spend quality time with their loved ones while camping, fishing, and relaxing with cookouts.

Flood 2006

The first of several 500-year floods.

No matter what time of year it is, Salt Springs is a pleasure to behold.

Hilltops, valleys, wildlife, flowers, there's something everywhere to catch your eye and imagination.

See the bird? At times you have to look real close. Some animals are masters at blending in.

Mushrooms & Fungi

Join one of our mushroom forays or strike out on your own to find these neat specimens.
